Testimonials
Real stories from OGC members showcasing the value of open standards, shared learning, and global partnership.
Programs
OGC is the home of open geospatial standards, but we’re far more than that.
Standards
OGC Standards provide the common foundation that allows geospatial data and systems to work together reliably across organizations, technologies, and borders.
Research
OGC Research brings members together to explore emerging geospatial technologies and real-world challenges through testbeds, pilots, and applied experimentation.
Compliance
OGC Compliance ensures that products and services meet rigorous, industry-accepted standards.
Engage. Contribute. Shape the Future.
Open Calls and Requests
OGC members can submit proposals for Research Initiatives when a Call for Participation (CFP) or Sponsorship (CFS) is released. Members of the public are also invited to provide feedback on standards, charters, and other consensus-based activities.
Industries We Serve
OGC supports a wide range of industries with open standards that enable seamless, interoperable geospatial data and solutions.
Academia & Research
Academic and research institutions rely on collaboration and open standards to drive innovation. OGC enables interoperability and a shared space to advance geospatial research.
Agriculture
Modern agriculture needs interoperable, real-time data. OGC’s sensor standards help integrate sensor, satellite, and in-situ data to boost productivity and sustainability.
Built Environment & Infrastructure
From design to facility management, accurate spatial data is essential. OGC standards such as LandInfra/InfraGML and IndoorGML ensure smooth integration across the entire infrastructure lifecycle.
Business Intelligent
From customers to logistics, location drives business insights. OGC standards help BI platforms access and integrate the expanding world of interoperable geospatial data.
City Management & Urban Planning
Cities face growing pressures. OGC standards like CityGML, IndoorGML, SensorThings, and 3D Tiles enable interoperable, data-driven Smart City solutions.
Defence & Intelligence
Accurate geospatial data is vital in Defense and Intelligence. OGC provides the standards that keep systems aligned, integrated, and mission-ready.
Geoscience / Earth Science
With diverse data across geology and related fields, geoscience needs interoperability. OGC supports this with standards such as GeoSciML and GroundWaterML.
Land Administration
Sustainable land management needs clear, connected data. OGC works with partners to advance open standards for modern, interoperable land administration.
Marine
Managing marine geospatial data is challenging, and interoperability is key. OGC supports this with long-standing standards and solutions for the marine community.
Meteorology & Oceanography
With highly dynamic spatial and temporal data, met-ocean fields need interoperability. OGC standards enable consistent, effective data and web services.
National and Regional Governments
Effective SDIs help governments integrate essential spatial data. OGC’s web service and API standards form the backbone of these systems.
Utilities
From power lines to pipelines, utilities depend on spatial insight. The MUDDI standard provides a unified framework for managing sub-surface information.
