GeoParquet SWG (GeoParquet SWG)

The OGC GeoParquet SWG will work to advance the GeoParquet encoding format for cloud-native vector data to an OGC Encoding Standard. GeoParquet builds upon Apache Parquet, described by Apache as “an open source, column-oriented data file format designed for efficient data storage and retrieval. It provides efficient data compression and encoding schemes with enhanced performance to handle complex data in bulk.”
