OGC’s Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) policy helps minimize the possibility of inadvertent infringement of the IPR of Members and third parties using or implementing any OGC Standards. OGC’s IPR policies reflect the mainstream of current standard-setting best practices.
On 16 December 2021, the OGC Board of Directors approved an amended Intellectual Property Rights Policy that went into effect on 20 February 2022.
We represent over 450 businesses, government agencies, research organizations, and universities united with a desire to make location information FAIR – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
