Geospatial and Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI)

OGC is advancing innovation through its work on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Learn how the OGC's GeoAI DWG, Training-DML SWG and COSI programs are contributing to standards and innovation in the area of GeoAI.

Geospatial Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - OGC

GeoAI DWG

The OGC GeoAI DWG works to identify use cases and applications related to AI in geospatial domains with particular emphasis on information synthesis, IoT (e.g., healthcare, smart energy), robots (e.g., manufacturing, self-driving vehicles), and ‘digital twins’ (e.g., smart buildings and cities).

This DWG is led by Qen Labs, Feng Chia University, Helyx secure information systems, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science & Technology and the Open Source Geospatial Foundation.

The mailing list is open to the public: Subscribe to GeoAI DWG Email List.

Training-DML SWG

The TrainingDML-AI SWG is chartered to develop the model and encodings for geospatial Machine Learning training data. The SWG released a conceptual model and is now working on creating encoding models based on GeoJASON and XML.

This SWG is led by South Digital Technology Co., Ltd, Wuhan University and Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble.

This SWG is only open to Members, Click here to enquire.

Standards

As AI/ML technologies evolve, OGC continues to work on developing standards in this space.
