About Me:

Nigel is a learning development specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the geospatial sector. He has worked on numerous donor funded programs in South East and Africa. Specialising in the field of training and documentation he has applied GIS to improve urban and environmental planning in Indonesia and the Philippines and worked on introducing new computerised land administration systems in Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia. Through his professional experience he has developed strong connections with the donor, NGO, academic and commercial communities. Nigel is conversant with learning technology, learning management systems and eLearning authoring tools and has a particular interest in bringing the latest learning practices to the geospatial sector to strengthen the continued adoption of solutions driving improved livelihoods across the globe.

Nigel holds a BSc in Geography and a MSc in Land Resource Management. He has previously served as Director of Training at Thomson Reuters, and most recently was Partner, Learning at PLACE. He lives in London.
