Registration will be available shortly.
Registration will be available shortly.
Organised by Tyler Mitchell, Executive Director, Open Source Geospatial Foundation
In conjunction with the ISO/TC211
Plenary Meeting being held in Canberra this December, an “Open
Geospatial Information Day” has been organised to showcase Australian
and New Zealand development of applications and tools based on
international geospatial standards developed by ISO/TC211 and the Open
Geospatial Consortium (OGC). In addition to these applications, various
jurisdictions have developed spatial policies, identifying these
standards to assist in the management, discovery and delivery of spatial
information. This event presents a unique opportunity to engage with the
International geospatial standards community visiting Australia for the
ISO/TC211 Plenary Meeting.
There is no registration fee, however, participants are responsible for their own transport & hotel costs. The meeting is open to both OGC and non-OGC members.
The OGC Aviation DWG will be meeting at the Eurocontrol HQ on Oct 21 and 22 to
-- Advance the development of a draft metadata profile for AIXM 5.1
-- Advance the development of a GML profile for Aviation
-- Review results of Aviation-related activities within OGC (OWS-6, OWS-7, FAA SAA Dissemination Pilot)
-- Review/plan upcoming DWG tasks and follow-up activities
The meeting will be a hands-on technical meeting to produce updated drafts of the metadata and GML profiles. Please consider attending and contributing, especially if you have previous experience with GML, Simple Feature Profile, AIXM, ICAO, ADQ (Europe), Airport GIS (FAA), eTOD, AMDB requirements, etc.
More information about the Aviation DWG is available at http://www.opengeospatial.org/projects/groups/aviationdwg. To subscribe to the mailing list (open to OGC and non-OGC members), https://lists.opengeospatial.org/mailman/listinfo/aviation.dwg.

This GEOSS workshop will focus on the system-of-systems architecture that guides the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) in developing GEOSS.
The Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) aims to achieve comprehensive, coordinated and sustained observations of the Earth system. An initial operating capability of the GEOSS Common Infrastructure has recently been established. The workshop will review the architecture that guided the initial capability and will develop recommendations for future developments.
The workshop will interest individuals and organizations from government, academia and industry sectors that seek to use GEOSS to increase access to Earth observations for their own use or for supporting their organizations system planning. Also, the workshop will interest individuals and organizations that seek to understand how their systems can contribute to GEOSS.
