OGC Canada Forum Geospatial Innovation Technology Showcase Day
Hosted by the Canada Forum on Geospatial Standards
Part of the 115th OGC TC Meetings
Montreal, QC, Tuesday, 0900 to 1700, June 16th, 2020
The OGC Canada Forum on Geospatial Standards aims to bring together all geospatial stakeholders to identify requirements for all aspects of geospatial data and information (e.g. sharing, capacity building, innovation, outreach, business development). A volunteer effort comprising Indigenous, government, private, academic, and research representatives, the Forum strives to re-invigorate Canadian collaboration within an increasingly challenging and competitive world.
At the OGC Member meeting in Montreal, the Canada Forum will host a special one day Innovation Showcase, providing a unique opportunity for OGC members to demonstrate the latest and greatest technology and services to meeting attendees from around the globe.
Open to any OGC member, each participant will;
- Present a 5 minute lightning talk highlighting their innovative geospatial activities.
- Demonstrate (table top) the real world impact of their technologies and services in detail in a one-on-one setting with meeting attendees.
- Bonus! The Canada Forum plans to capture videos that participants can use at no cost.
Presentations and demonstrations on any theme are welcome. Both individual and collaborative demonstrations are encouraged to showcase the impact and the value of standards.
Space is very limited, and the value is high, so act fast!
Interested? Contact Trevor Taylor (ttaylor [at] ogc.org) by April 17, 2020. Selected participants will be informed no later than May 8, 2020. The Canada Forum looks forward to your participation.
