Community Manager -  Member Success - Full Time (Remote)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Member Success and Development, this position is ideal for an individual dedicated to ensuring our members are highly engaged and receive maximum value from membership in OGC.  The position directly supports the full membership lifecycle, including  on-boarding,  responding to  requests, actively  checking in with members, facilitating connections between member representatives, supporting the renewal process, and assisting in member facing meetings and events. 

The primary objective of the position is to improve and manage the member life cycle process to increase member engagement and retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and engage with members through the full member lifecycle, from on-boarding, to checkins to renewal
  • Identify  members at  risk and provide  ideas  to overcome renewal objections
  • Identify and Support Members considering an upgrade
  • Respond and resolve, with the OGC team,  to  general questions and issues from member representatives 
  • Support the OGC team and members during member facing OGC events 
  • Work with the OGC team to elevate the profile of our  members in the global community; and
  • Help Energize the community!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+  years of relevant experience.
  • Fantastic communication in writing and in person, to a variety of audiences including scientists and executives.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Tech-savvy, including Gmail, other G-Suite products, Slack, Trello and  Netsuite .
  • Should be a hands-on, energetic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with OGC membership  and Geospatial Industry knowledge

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to travel ( estimated 15%)
