5th International 3D GeoInfo Workshop 2010 - Berlin, Germany

Start:
Wednesday, 2010-11-03
End:
Thursday, 2010-11-04
Details:

Welcome to Berlin

The 5th International 3D GeoInfo Workshop 2010 aims at bringing together international state-of-the-art research and facilitating the dialogue on emerging topics in the field of 3D geo-information. In recent years, research has focused on improving 3D data acquisition technology through remote sensing, photogrammetry, laser altimetry techniques (LiDAR), and visualization technology (3D CAD and Virtual Reality (VR) system) for 3D urban environments. The resulting 3D models can be maintained in several types of 3D models: TEN (Tetrahedral Network), Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) models, Regular Polytopes, TIN Boundary representation and 3D volume quad edge structure, layered/topology models, voxel based models, 3D models used in urban planning/polyhedrons, and n-dimensional models including time. However, researchers still face many challenges today regarding the development of suitable data models representing topological relationships among 3D spatial objects in built environments.

Location Intelligence Conference 2009

Start:
Monday, 2009-10-05
End:
Wednesday, 2009-10-07
Details:
The 2009 Location Intelligence Conference provides a forum for sponsors and exhibitors to promote their enabling technologies  geospatial solutions that support and enhance the development, application and integration of location technology to significantly improve performance and productivity and to enable the location intelligent enterprise. The world is sold on geospatial technologies. We see these technologies being used everywhere: Managing telecommunications, mitigating terrorist threats, and locating retail stores as well as finding the most efficient routes for supply chain management and many other applications. But in a challenging economic climate, how will corporations leverage location technology to streamline business processes? Come to LI 2009 and find out. visit: www.locationintelligence.net

GEOSS Workshop XXVII - Oceans: Understanding the Oceans Integrated Observation Systems including subsurface sensors

Start:
Sunday, 2009-05-10
End:
Sunday, 2009-05-10
Details:

May 10, 2009     Bremen, Germany

This one day workshop will explore the status of existing ocean observation systems and data portals for the Global Earth Observation System of Systems – GEOSS. The discussion will focus on the ability to build on existing systems to develop a global coordinated information and data system for ocean monitoring to better understand the dynamics of the deep-ocean processes throughout the ocean water column (ref GEO subtask CL-09-02d).
