OGC Training at MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2014

Start:
Wednesday, 2014-05-07
End:
Friday, 2014-05-09
Details:

We invite you to register for a 1 day OGC training course to be held May 8, 2014 during the MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2014 conference. The training will be in Portuguese and will be led by Luis Bermudez, director of the OGC Compliance Program. Attendees successfully completing the training will receive a certificate from OGC and MundoGeo and either one free membership for their employer or a discount coupon**.

This is an important training session because OGC standards have become increasingly important in a world where location and other types of geographic information are becoming integral parts of the information infrastructure. OGC is the main international organization responsible for open geospatial standards, and these standards make it possible for geospatial data and geoprocessing instructions to be communicated between platforms, systems and applications. Receiving training in OGC standards is important for both software developers and information system managers.

The MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2014 Conference and Trade Fair will be held at the Fri Caneca Convention Center, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Second International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-geoinformatics 2013)

Start:
Monday, 12 August 2013 00:00 EDT
End:
Friday, 16 August 2013 00:00 EDT
Details:

Agro-geoinformation, the agricultural-related geoinformation, is the key information in the agricultural decision making and policy formulation process. Recent advances in geoinformatics have created new opportunities and challenges in applying agro-geoinformation to agriculture monitoring and assessment. The Second International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-geoinformatics 2013) provides an ideal venue for professionals and students to exchange ideas, research results, and professional experiences on collecting (including remote sensing and field survey), processing, storing, archiving, preserving, retrieving, transmitting, accessing, visualizing, analyzing, synthesizing, presenting, utilizing, and disseminating agro-geoinformation. Agro-Geoinformatics 2013 is organized and hosted by the Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University (GMU), with technical and financial sponsorships from USDA NIFA, IEEE GRSS, OGC, and many other organizations. The conference will be held between August 12th and August 16th 2013 in Fairfax, VA, USA. All accepted full papers will be published online in the IEEE Xplore database. Expanded papers selected from the Agro-Geoinformatics 2013 conference will be published on SCI-indexed journals.
